St.Thomas Convent School,Bhopal

History


Begun in the year 1986, on the auspicious eve of the feast day of St. Thomas, the apostle of India, St. Thomas Convent Sr. Sec. School has grown as an institute of Excellence. Run by St. John Chrysostom Diocese of Gurgaon, the school has His Excellency Most Rev.Dr. Thomas Mar Anthonios , Bishop of St John Chrysostom Diocese of Gurgaon
 as its patron. The institution also receives support from the local patron Most Rev. Alangaram Arokia Sebastin Durairaj SVD Archbishop of Bhopal . The school had been served by Rev. Fr. Joseph Kurumpileth who laid the foundation stone of the institution and Rev. Fr. John Nedumcheril in whose tenure the school procured five acres of land in Ayodhya Nagar, where it has now a sprawling campus and Rev. Fr. Thomas Malancharuvil who served the school as both manager and principal for a long period and further the school was served by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Daniel Kuzhithadathil Corepiscopo as manager and Rev. Sr. Sharon SIC as the principal. The school receives services from the Sisters of Bethany Convent in various capacities. The school is presently led by the able guidance of Rev.Dr.Fr.Reni Mudampally

Under the management of St. John Chrysostom Diocese of Gurgaon, there are two Schools which are run in Bhopal - St. Thomas Convent School, Arera Hills an M. P. Board Middle School, St. Thomas Convent Sr. Sec. School, Ayodhya Nagar affiliated to CBSE. There is also an institution of higher education, the Mar Baselios College of Nursing (BSc and MSc) run by the same management.
